One of the most famous operas by Gluck based on the antique myth of Orpheus ans Eurydice. It was written in 1762 to a libretto by the Italian poet and playwright Ranieri de Calziabigi. For production in Paris (1764) a new version of the opera was made, with the French text by Pierre-Louis de Molina. In this edition, the text is published in Russian and French. For performers, teachers, and music libraries.
