Claude Debussy (1862-1918) was a famous French composer, the founder of musical Impressionism. Piano music constitutes one of the most important areas of his heritage. "Suite bergamasque" (1890) was written in the early period of his creative career. The composer was greatly interested in symbolist poetry and often used similar plots in his music. The Suite includes "Clair de lune," one of Debussy's most famous pieces (it was probably inspired by Paul Verlaine's eponymous poem).
For students of higher grades of musical schools and musical colleges.
